Building SEL Excellence: CASEL Framework for Middle School Success
This interactive eLearning course is for middle school teachers to learn about The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) Framework, how to integrate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) within their instruction, how to recognize and respond to student emotional needs, and how to create SEL-Supportive classroom environments.
Rise360
As instructional designers, we have a responsibility to not only create learning, but to ensure that this learning can be accessible to all learners. Whether you are new to instructional design or are looking to better understand incorporating accessibility in your learning content, this Rise360 course explores how to create digital learning experiences that are engaging, inclusive, and usable for all learners.
I created a full eLearning prototype in Rise360 of a course focusing on training CDCR EIS staff on key concepts of the CCB process which will allow them to be able to complete the entire process at an introductory level. This course was not officially implemented in CDCR LMS Infrastructure.
Instructional Design Artifacts
Scenario-Based eLearning Blocks
Scenario-Based eLearning is an immersive learning tool that assist learners by providing realistic, contextual situations they may encounter in their professional experiences. I selected this approach in order to give learners a knowledge check when provided the exact scenario of what the next action would be when presented with a step in the CCB process. This aims to have the learners understand and connect to the impact of selecting the incorrect answer without consequence while being able to understand what each step is for and why they need to move to that step.
Learner assessments provide a feedback loops for the students and instructors to improve learning outcomes. I created these learning assessments surrounding the CCB process in order to assess learners on the effectiveness of the eLearning course.
Rise360 CCB Style Guide
I created this style guide in Google Docs in order to guide my final product visually in a cohesive, consistent manner. Style guides allow for a guideline for the intentional design decisions that assist in enticing interest from learners. My style guide for this project is based off of the CDCR logo to stay consistent with the pre-existing branding the organization already utilizes.
Rise360 CCB Storyboard
Storyboarding is an essential tool as it acts as a blueprint for the eLearning product in order to ensure that the course is engaging, effective, and aligns with the stated learning objectives. I referred back and forth between my Task Analysis and Style Guide in order to guide the structure of my course. The storyboard was created in Google Docs.
CDCR Technical Learning Artifacts
qTest Manager - Test Loading and Test Management (TLTM) Training Artifacts
These artifacts were designed to teach users how to prepare Excel test script templates, map fields, import scripts into qTest Manager, manage test versions, and transport cases within the project. This demonstrates my hands-on experience in translating complex system architectures and automated testing processes into high-impact, accessible learning programs utilized to successfully onboard around 150 technical and non-technical users onto the automated testing platform.
TLTM Demo Training Script
TLTM Training User Guide
Q-Test Trainer Training Guideline for Program Demo
This multi-session facilitator playbook and live system demonstration sript maps the end-to-end testing lifecycle across qTest's core modules - connecting Test Plans, Requirements, Test Designs, Test Executions, and Defects. The development of this training standardized technical QA training delivery across the enterprise and optimized daily workflows by trainings users on key operational best practices which have been utilized by over 200 cross-functional users across the 2 year length of the S/4HANA Migration Project.
Creating the PCR in qTest User Guide
A granular Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guiding users through the Change Control Board (CCB) process, enforcing naming conventions, script approvals, version-tracking, and production presentation workflows. This guide standardized critial Production Change Request (PCR) auditing and serves as the foundational blueprint that successfully replaced the decomissioned legacy SAP Solution Management (SolMan) system department wide.
